For under $20, you can buy a box of mirror tiles and duct-tape 5 or 6 of them together into a tool for creating unusual and awesome photos.
Ron Brinkmann on the Digital Composting blog shows off some great effects you can get using this homemade mirror box. The photo above uses shiny tin foil balls. You can place candles, Droids, or anything else in your cheap effects box (hit up the link below for more examples) and snap away at different angles for unique, dazzling shots.
