QLStephen Makes Any Plain Text File QuickLook-Able in the OS X FinderOS X: Plain text is plain text, but if it has an unusual file extension that the Finder doesn't understand then it'll assume it's something else. This is particularly problematic with QuickLook, the feature that shows you a document preview when you select it and press the space bar. The QLStephen plugin fixes that problem.

To use it, follow these steps:

  1. Download it
  2. Copy it to /Library/QuickLook/
  3. Open Terminal and run the command qlmanage -r

That's it! Now you'll be able to use QuickLook on most any text file. If you want the text to be selectable, check this out, too.
