Household weblog Re-Nest recommends using canning jar seals underneath throw rugs to keep the rugs from slipping. This is an especially nice tip for bathroom rugs. The only difficult part of the trick is finding seals that are separate from the lids, but you can order them from Amazon in a pinch.
