It's near the end of the day on Christmas Eve and you've just realized that you're a gift or three short. At this point your options are to try and find a decent gift at the stores that are still open, give cash, or go with a printable gift certificate.
Consumer Reports official weblog recommends last second shopping at supermarkets or chain pharmacies such as CVS or Walgreens. Supermarkets will offer food gift baskets, DVDs, gift cards, and baked goods. Pharmacies know they are the last-ditch stop for gifts and are full of substandard toys and electronics.
